How Hire Works
- Minimum period — rentals start from one week, which suits troubleshooting a production issue, validating a process, or covering a breakdown.
- No long-term commitment — where a longer period suits you better, leasing is available, and we can quote both so you can compare cost over the period you actually need.
- Supplied calibrated — every unit is inspected, serviced and calibrated to traceable national standards before dispatch, and the certificate comes with the instrument so your audit trail is unbroken from day one. If your quality system needs calibration within a particular window, tell us when you book.
- Training — operator training on site or at our Bedford facility, so the instrument is used correctly and the results are defensible.
- Support during the hire — if an instrument develops a fault we will repair or replace it so your testing is not held up.
Hire Before You Buy
Buying a leak test system on the strength of theoretical calculations is a gamble. Will air pressure decay reach your leak rate, or do you need tracer gas? Is the specification realistic? Hiring an instrument for a week or a month lets you run the process on your own parts, generate real data and refine the specification before you commit capital. Choosing the Right Method to Hire
If you are not sure which method your application needs, the choice usually comes down to the leak rate you have to prove. Pressure decay suits most production parts with a moderate leak specification. Tracer gas, using helium or hydrogen, reaches far smaller leak rates, and sniffing can locate a leak rather than just detect it.
